This Steel Yard Ramp from Bluff Manufacturing features a large weight capacity of 25,000 lbs and is extremely portable due to its full undercarriage assembly equipped with standard solid 18” rubber tires intended to improve maneuverability and allows quick positioning of the ramp at any time.

Bluff’s Yard Ramps is ideal for quick moving, loading and unloading from ground to dock, trailer, rail-car and vice-versa making it suitable for all sorts of material handling application most especially if you do not have a permanent dock available in your workplace.

It is made out of reinforced steel with diamond-plates at the bottom part of the ramp and serrated steel grating above it which offer excellent traction and durability for heavy duty material handling. This ergonomic design also ensures moisture, debris and dust falls right through it keeping the ramp in top-notch condition despite heavy usage.

The Portable Steel Yard Ramp is available in 4 different sizes that vary mainly on their lengths and widths intended to meet any of your needs in the field. The 30’ length models are typically used for standard most material handling for ground to the dock applications while the 36’ models are for ground to truck applications.

You can also select other optional accessories which improve efficiency, safety and overall working experience when using the Yard Ramps. Bluff Manufacturing’s Steel Yard Ramps were made to solve all your loading problems with just one product. It is equipped with a standard double-action hydraulic pump ergonomically designed for ease of adjustment on the ramp’s height. Locking safety chains are included for you to securely latch the ramp in place and it also comes with either a rmp clamp or tow bar of your choice.

YARD RAMP SELECTION GUIDELINES

CAPACITY

The capacity you select must be greater than the combined weight of your heaviest forklift and the heaviest weight of anticipated loads it will carry.

 

WIDTH

Yard Ramps are available in 70” and 84” standard nominal width, with the 84” model accommodating more applications. The usable width is 6” less than the nominal width, and the usable width should be at least 15” wider than the widest equipment to be used on the ramp. Custom widths are available. For railcar use, select the ramp width wide enough to prevent the forklift from hitting the ramp curbs as it turns into the railcar. Consult your forklift manual for radius turning capabilities. Measure railcar door openings to make sure the Yard Ramp will fit.

 

TYPE AND LENGTH

Level off – 36’ Length: A six-foot level off at the end of the ramp adds maneuverability for forklifts. This allows forklifts easier turning access into railcars and allows them to handle pallets next to the door openings. The 36’ ramp is most popular where endloading is required. Level off type is noted by the letter “L” following the model number.
Straight – 30’ Length: This type is used primarily for ground to dock applications, where no level off is required.
