Expand descriptionThis 30,000 lbs capacity Steel Yard Ramps built by Bluff Manufacturing features great portability and versatility which is made possible due to its undercarriage assembly comprising of 18” solid rubber tires allowing you to freely move, relocate and better position the ramp for any material handling scenario.
Bluff’s Yard Ramp available in 4 different models which differ on the width and length of the ramp in order to your needs in any field. The 30’ length models are more than enough for standard and most material handling activities such as those that are done on ground to the dock applications. On the other hand, 36’ length models are necessary for ground to truck applications.
It is perfect for all material handling applications that require quick and flexible loading and unloading most especially if do not have a permanent dock available in your working area. It also includes locking safety chains for you to securely-tie the Yard Ramp as well as a free tugging accessory which makes it easier for you to move the ramp from one place to another.
The Portable Steel Yard Ramps with Wheels is fully constructed out of reinforced steel made for withstanding heavy duty applications under tough working conditions. In addition to that, it has open serrated steel grating offering excellent traction as well as ensuring no debris, moisture, snow and dust build-up. Control the height of the ramp using its ergonomically engineered double-action hydraulic pump.

YARD RAMP SELECTION GUIDELINES
CAPACITY
The capacity you select must be greater than the combined weight of your heaviest forklift and the heaviest weight of anticipated loads it will carry.
WIDTH
Yard Ramps are available in 70” and 84” standard nominal width, with the 84” model accommodating more applications. The usable width is 6” less than the nominal width, and the usable width should be at least 15” wider than the widest equipment to be used on the ramp. Custom widths are available. For railcar use, select the ramp width wide enough to prevent the forklift from hitting the ramp curbs as it turns into the railcar. Consult your forklift manual for radius turning capabilities. Measure railcar door openings to make sure the Yard Ramp will fit.
TYPE AND LENGTH
Level off – 36’ Length: A six-foot level off at the end of the ramp adds maneuverability for forklifts. This allows forklifts easier turning access into railcars and allows them to handle pallets next to the door openings. The 36’ ramp is most popular where endloading is required. Level off type is noted by the letter “L” following the model number.
Straight – 30’ Length: This type is used primarily for ground to dock applications, where no level off is required.
