Expand descriptionThis Steel Yard Ramp made by Bluff Manufacturing is rated with 20,000 lbs weight capacity and comes standard with a fully-assembled undercarriage comprising of 18” solid rubber tires for more maneuverability and flexibility allowing better positioning and added portability.
The use of Bluff’s Portable Yard Ramps provide quick and efficient material handling solutions especially when you’re constantly moving, loading and unloading cargo from the ground to the dock, trailer or rail-car and vice-versa. The ramp is also easily transferrable using a forklift most especially if you use the clamp or tow bar accessories.
You can choose between 4 different Yard Ramp models that vary in their size made to accommodate all types of material handling application.The 30’ length models are standard most of the time for ground to the dock applications and 36’ models are for ground to truck applications.
It is equipped with an integrated double-action hydraulic pump along with a release valve which offer convenient and ease of raising and lowering of the ramp. Safety chains are included to securely strap the ram tightly to your trailer, dock or any desired platform.
Bluff Manufacturing’s Portable Yard Ramps are fully constructed out of high-grade steel ensuring excellent durability and resilience even under great stress and harsh conditions. The tip of the ramp is diamond-plated for added strength and protection while the rest of it has serrated steel grating intended for better grip and traction along the ramp.
This Portable Steel Yard Ramps with Wheels has multiple options available to help optimize your safety and efficiency. Optional handrails are recommended for additional safety and keeps your workers secure at all times. By purchasing the Bluff Yard Ramp, you can either select a ramp clamp or a tow bar free of charge.

YARD RAMP SELECTION GUIDELINES
CAPACITY
The capacity you select must be greater than the combined weight of your heaviest forklift and the heaviest weight of anticipated loads it will carry.
WIDTH
Yard Ramps are available in 70” and 84” standard nominal width, with the 84” model accommodating more applications. The usable width is 6” less than the nominal width, and the usable width should be at least 15” wider than the widest equipment to be used on the ramp. Custom widths are available. For railcar use, select the ramp width wide enough to prevent the forklift from hitting the ramp curbs as it turns into the railcar. Consult your forklift manual for radius turning capabilities. Measure railcar door openings to make sure the Yard Ramp will fit.
TYPE AND LENGTH
Level off – 36’ Length: A six-foot level off at the end of the ramp adds maneuverability for forklifts. This allows forklifts easier turning access into railcars and allows them to handle pallets next to the door openings. The 36’ ramp is most popular where endloading is required. Level off type is noted by the letter “L” following the model number.
Straight – 30’ Length: This type is used primarily for ground to dock applications, where no level off is required.
