Advantages: The piano dolly wheels were just what I needed to make the elementary school Baldwin Hamilton upright piano safe for moving from classroom to gymnasium and back. They arrived quickly which gave me the opportunity to have them installed in time for a performance right before Thanksgiving break.
The dollies were affordable too, which was really important since I had to pay for them out of pocket. Because they worked out so well, the school has agreed we can keep the piano there and kids will be able to learn on a real piano and enjoy concerts with a real piano ...and we can move the piano safely out of the way when the basketball team comes in.

The Twin Dollies for my Console Upright Piano work beautifully. After install by a piano technician who had a piano tilt and knew what he was doing around the pedal mechanism, it works great. We used two 5/16" 1.5 inch lag bolts per dolly on back and two 5/16" 1.5 inch machine bolts with washer/nuts underneath per dolly. This information is not on instructions, but he knew what we needed. The piano now rolls easily on carpet.
Advantages: Rolls easy on carpet, so better than no dollies and breaking the front legs.
Disadvantages: Wise to use technician and piano tilt as recommended rather than strong church members who think they know what to do.

These dollies are sturdy and are able to support a very heavy upright piano. These do need to be fastened to the piano to keep the dollies from shifting especially if moving the piano on carpet.
Advantages: The dollies save a lot of manpower once they're properly installed.
