HAND TRUCK MAINTENANCE GUIDE SCHEDULE
Do you have issues with hand trucks breaking down or not performing the way they should?
We have a worry-free maintenance schedule that will help keep B&P’s LIBERATOR hand trucks (or any other hand truck) in tip top shape. Proper maintenance will allow the LIBERATOR to perform in peak condition.
In order to ensure that your Liberator hand truck gives years’ worth of trouble-free service, we highly recommend performing the following preventative maintenance steps in order to assure safety and performance:
Daily:
‣ CHECK tire pressure.
‣ VISUALLY inspect for damage.
‣ TEST proper operation of brakes
Weekly:
‣ CHECK the tightness of the nose plate fasteners.
‣ CHECK the tightness of handle fasteners.
Monthly:
‣ CHECK tires for cracks or delaminating.
‣ INSPECT frame rivets.
‣ INSPECT welded joints for bending or cracks.
‣ INSPECT wheel bearings for noise and run out.
‣ INSPECT axle cotter pins.
‣ ADJUST brakes if needed.
Annually:
‣ POWER wash your hand truck.
‣ INSPECT wheel bearings and axles for wear.
‣ CHECK brake pads and brake shoes for wear and excessive movement.
‣ GREASE wheel bearings.
