Statistics and Moving Equipment

Every year, the statistics of patients who are diagnosed with chronic prolonged back pain are increasing, and many of them are the victims of occupational strains of heavy-lifting work. This causes the workers distress, and they in turn can become unproductive. On the other hand, their employers will most probably have to fork out money for on-going medical attention, face high rate of staff taking medical leave or high staff turnover rate.

This can all be easily avoided. Humankind have evolved and come up with ingenious ways in mastering bio-mechanics and the human body to conserve energy and prevent industrial and occupational strain injuries. One way, is by studying the human anatomy and the educating the masses about proper body mechanics while lifting. However, after your tenth round of lifting that heavy item, no matter how well you bend your knee and keep your back straight, you are sure to feel the strain. To be honest, when you have a heavy work day ahead of you and time is pressing, many people just do not think about proper body mechanics.
