Expand descriptionThis 16,000 lbs capacity Steel Yard Ramp, unlike other ramps, comes with a pair of heavy duty steel Polyurethane casters on its adjustable legs provide the ramp much needed maneuverability and flexibility intended for better positioning and faster relocation of the ramp for other material handling activities.
It is available in 2 different ramp widths all having 6 feet level off length built for quick ground to truck applications. The Yard Ramp is extremely portable and works well on almost all material handling applciations such as in construction companies, scrap yards, rental companies, or even situations where a heavy tractor-trailer needs to drive through a warehouse that is not at ground level.
The Portable Steel Yard Ramps with Casters is constructed out of reinforced and high quality steel offering excellent durability and resilience. It has beveled approach while the rest of the platform are serrated steel grating made for better traction and ergonomically engineered to keep-off dusts, water, debris, and more.
Bluff Manufacturing’s Yard Ramps can easily be customized with optional handrails improving safety and security for both your workers and your loads. Upon purchasing the ramp, you get a free tugging accessory either a ramp clamp or a tow bar which allow easier handling and carrying of the Yard Ramp using a forklift.

YARD RAMP SELECTION GUIDELINES
CAPACITY
The capacity you select must be greater than the combined weight of your heaviest forklift and the heaviest weight of anticipated loads it will carry.
WIDTH
Yard Ramps are available in 70” and 84” standard nominal width, with the 84” model accommodating more applications. The usable width is 6” less than the nominal width, and the usable width should be at least 15” wider than the widest equipment to be used on the ramp. Custom widths are available. For railcar use, select the ramp width wide enough to prevent the forklift from hitting the ramp curbs as it turns into the railcar. Consult your forklift manual for radius turning capabilities. Measure railcar door openings to make sure the Yard Ramp will fit.
TYPE AND LENGTH
Level off – 36’ Length: A six-foot level off at the end of the ramp adds maneuverability for forklifts. This allows forklifts easier turning access into railcars and allows them to handle pallets next to the door openings. The 36’ ramp is most popular where endloading is required. Level off type is noted by the letter “L” following the model number.
