The PowerMate LE-1 is a "motorized stair climber as well as a stacker"  and is unique in the PowerMate lineup. The LE-1 has two drive screws instead of one which provides distinct advantages for certain applications as the toe plate can move up and down along the frame.

Model LE-1 comes complete with two strapbars, one battery and battery charger and wheel brakes.

  • Cylinder Attachment – This is a two piece kit that attaches to your strap bars. Note that an additional strap bar may be required for your L-Series machine to complete the setup. This allows you to carry and transport cylindrical items boosting overall versatility and material handling efficiency
  • Water Tank Attachment – Is a two piece kit which comprises of a top piece which fits over strap bar and a bottom piece which fits over toe plate. Makes it possible for your PowerMate hand truck to carry water tanks with ease

Benefits the Moving Toeplate Brings You:

1)By moving the load along the frame you change the balance of the machine. This is particularly useful for small, heavy loads like wood stoves, compressors, electric motors or barrels. The effort to move loads up stairs can then be greatly reduced with almost zero weight on the hand grips. The LE-1 also comes standard with hand operated wheel brakes which means the unit cannot roll forward unless you release the brake.

2)The other distinct advantage is the stacker feature of the dual drive screw design. The LE-1 has the ability to raise the load and place it on a raised surface. Again, this feature is very handy for placing wood stoves onto hearths, vending or gaming machines onto counter tops or any load that needs to be raised onto a surface.All PowerMate® stair climbers have the ability to raise loads up onto surfaces, like truck beds for example. They do this by raising the wheels (which extends the frame) up onto the raised surface; from there it is simply a matter of closing the machine to bring up the load. With an LE-1 however, you can raise just the load without having to bring the PowerMate up with it.

The LE-1 has the same capacity as the L-1 at 700 lbs. and can move all the same types of loads such as appliances, hot water tanks, AC units, geothermal units, furnaces, drain cleaners and of course wood stoves, barrels, electric motors or other heavy loads.

The PowerMate® LE-1 is manufactured to high standards with extruded aluminum and no welds to fail. The battery is the best performing in the industry, utilizing a state of the art charging system. The LE-1 will move a 500 lb. load up and down 20 flights of stairs on a single charge! A typical battery life is 4 -7 years.

Every consideration was given to make your PowerMate® the most ergonomically friendly lifting device on the market. For example, all our operator controls are strategically positioned on the top of the machine between the hand grips.

The PowerMate® LE-1 has quality features unlike any other on the market. The LE-1 has two hardened steel drive screws that are perfectly matched with the motors and batteries to provide the best combination of strength, durability and efficiency. The spring lock safety device in the ball nut provides additional drive system security.

The wheels on a PowerMate® lift up and out of the way reducing the overall footprint of the machine – ideal in a tight spot like narrow stairwells and landings. This feature is also why you are able to break back the load with such relative ease; with the wheels out of the way, the effort to pull the load back onto the wheels is dramatically reduced. All PowerMate® stair climbers have this unique feature, including the LE-1. Once the machine and load are back onto the wheels, you are now in a well balanced position - with no effort required to keep the load that way! You can even let go of the machine at this point! Very handy on stairwells for example if you should have to open a door or even answer your phone. This is impossible with a regular hand truck and is a major advantage to owning a PowerMate®.

All PowerMates are manufactured with solid state controls which reduce the draw on the battery adding to your daily operating life as well as extending the life of the battery overall. Wheel Brakes

 

Recommended for all Units. Wheel brakes provide added stability while climbing stairs and further reduce the effort to move loads. Wheel brakes are a popular option with the L-Series machines. Extended Toeplate (Depth)

 

The Extended Toe Plate (depth) is made out of heavy duty steel used with larger loads like commercial hot water tanks to provide a larger base for tank legs. Measurements are as follows: Depth 12" x Width 22" x Height 4.75".

Retractable Dolly Attachment

 

Converts your PowerMate hand truck to a heavy duty 4-wheeler dolly in just a matter of seconds. It has two swivel casters designed to provide you with more stability and maneuverability for heavy duty material handling. It is best suited for flat rolling surfaces. Measurements are as follows: Depth 4" x Width 14.25" x Height 25.5".

Rough Terrain Cart

 

The Rough Terrain Cart is a set of pneumatic tires for your LE-1 Stair Climber that allows for navigation over rough or uneven ground. Measurements are as follows: Length 39" x Width 36.5" x Height 24.25", weighs 83 lbs.

Cylinder Attachment

The Cylinder Attachment is a two piece kit that attaches to your strapbars. An additional strapbar may be required for your L-Series machine to complete the setup. Measurements are as follows: Depth 6" x Width 18" x Height 4".

Water Tank Attachment

The Hot Water Tank attachment is a specialty strap bar designed to hold secure the rounded curve of commercial hot water tanks and other cylinder loads up to 24 inches in diameter to the machine; minimizing the risk of product damage. Top piece fits over strap bar while bottom piece fits over toe plate. Measurement are as follows:

Step Extension with Mat Assembly

Perfect for small landings and tight turns, the Step Extension with Mat Assembly can be placed at the top or bottom of a stair case to create more room and a better turning surface for maneuvering your PowerMate with its load. This accessory gives you the ability to complete even more installs and removals than ever before! The step extension by itself measures Depth 20" x Width 28" x Height 6.75", Weight 27 lbs while the Mat Assembly measures Depth 44" x Width 28" x Height 0.25", Weight 10 lbs.

In-Vehicle Battery Charger

The In-Vehicle Battery Charger is a smart charging system that keeps your PowerMate charged while it remains in the vehicle. It is hard-wired into the vehicle electrical system. Note that it will not allow the vehicle battery to go below 75% capacity to ensure vehicle starting. Input 12V DC, Output 12V DC 4.0 Amp.
