Hi Guys,
I’m Sam and welcome to Handtrucks to Go, your 1 stop shop for all your moving equipment!
Today I’m going to show you How To Build Your Own Cart online, we offer customized hand trucks, service carts, platform carts, and bellman carts. Available exclusively at HandtrucksToGo.com with easy online ordering and unbeatable prices!
For our demonstration today we will show you the “Build Your Own Magliner Hand Truck” one of our more popular choices.
First, we go to Build Your Own, and then Customized Handtrucks, then we select the one that we want.
Remember all of our customized products, work the same way, for now we will go to Build Your Own Magliner handtruck. Click on that and it opens up the product details page.
Building your own Magliner handtruck basically consists of four steps. We have to choose a frame, a handle, a nose plate and wheels, after that we can also pick optional accessories if we want. The starting price is just $159.99, which includes free delivery and no tax out of New Jersey.
We go to Step 1, “Choose Frame” As you see it’s preselected to frame number 1, which is “included in base price” of 159.99.
Say you wanted to upgrade to a frame with an extra vertical bar which is Frame # 2. Notice that underneath that frame it says Additional $15, that means by selecting that upgraded part your price will be an extra $15, which will bring you to a total of 174.99 for the hand truck. Select that part by clicking on the circle beneath it, and it will automatically be added to your configuration.
We have many different choices, have a look at the pictures and the short description underneath them, then select your choice and move along to the next step.
Step # 2. “Choose Handle”.
Here we have Handle Number 11 pre-selected which is “included in the base price” of 159.99
Say you wanted a handle with a vinyl sleeve or a P handle, over here, #15A just go ahead and select it. Again, it will automatically be added to your configuration.
Also notice that next to every handle you will see the total height of your hand truck, which is dependent on the handle that you choose (hover over the short description of one of the handles where it says __ H)
We move on to Step number 3, choosing a nose plate.
Nose number AA is “included in the base price”. If you want to upgrade, simply select that one, and there you go, it is added to your order.
Step #4
Choose your wheels. Included is the 8 inch mold on rubber wheels, number 815, that’s already selected. If you want to upgrade… Say you want tire # 10 -10, which is a 10 inch foam, puncture-proof tire, simply select it, and there it is, added to your order.
Next, we go to Step # 5. Stair Climbers.
Note that Next to Step # 5 it says Optional meaning that your handtruck is complete at this point, but you can add on additional accessories if you would like them.
There will be an extra charge for these optional accessories as clearly noted “Additional $35.”
If you don’t want the stair climbers, just leave it there on the “No thanks, I do not want this option”. If you do want it, just select it and there it goes, it’s added to your handtruck.
Next, Step 6. High-U frame extensions. Note again. Optional.
Let’s read the notes over here.
Frame extensions are only compatible with handles # 11, 12, 16, 19, 22 in Step 2.
What does that mean?
If we go back to Step number 2 where we chose the handles (scroll back up the page), you will see next to every handle is a part number.
If we want a High-u-extension, we must make sure that we chose handle #11, 12, 16, 19 or 22 in Step number 2.
Currently, one of those handles are not selected, so if we were to try and add the U-Bar Extension (scroll back down to Step #6), we would get a message
“Sorry, this combination of product options is not available.”
This is to ensure that you do not order incompatible parts.
So let’s go back up (scroll back up to Step #2) and select one of the handles that is compatible with the High U-Frame Extension. Okay, here we are- Select . Now let’s go back down and continue on with our order.
Step #7 Folding Nose – Optional. Please read the notes. “folding noses are not compatible with the following toeplates: E2, G2, K1, K2 in Step 3.”
On to Step # 8, Keg Hook- Optional, these are perfect for moving around those kegs of beers. Read the notes.
“Please note keg hooks are only compatible with frame #5 in Step 1.”
Step 9 Accessory Bag – Optional. Make your choice over there.
OK, Step 10 ID Personalization Strips – Optional.
If you don’t want it, just leave it right there. If you want it click on the appropriate one by clicking on it, let’s say, Coca Cola, there.
And here we also have a special option where you can actually add in your own company name.
Click that option right here, “custom your company name” (select it), and make sure to enter your company name below, right here, up to 32 characters (enter Handtrucks2go in text box)
We are done now. Here’s our total price based on our selections . If you want to order more than one hand truck, just use the dropdown, there you go 3 , add to shopping cart and you are done.

All of our Magliner hand trucks varies from twenty eight (28) pounds, to twenty five (25) pounds with the heaviest being a bit over thirty (30) pounds but all of these models have the moving capacity of five hundred (500) pounds whether it needs to move four (4) or five (5) filled bottles.
